The idea of balancing deen and dunya has been torn down in this video by Sahil Adeem. While this idea doesn't actually exist in Islam, our understanding of it is simply wrong because one cannot balance a water droplet with the ocean since deen requires much more of us than dunya does, but we don't see it that way.
