UPDATE: Newer versions of FCP will delete your adjustment layers; repeat this process to get the adjustment layers back.

UPDATE 2.0: I've found an even easier way to do this! I'll list the steps here below.

1. go to Finder
2. Click on Users (the tab on the left with the home icon)
3. Click on Movies
4. Click on Motion Templates
5. Create a folder called 'Titles'
6. Add your adjustment layer folder to the Titles folder
7. Right-click on the Titles folder and select Get Info
8. Under Name & Extension add '.localized' after Titles
9. Look in FCP and your adjustment layer should be there!
