This is an interview with Doomberg, known to many as “the green chicken”, and the writer of the #1 paid finance substack.

In this interview, Doomber talked about “peak cheap oil”, and why he doesn’t believe this is the bottom for the oil price.

“The world has more than enough primary energy, which is why you see natural gas where it is, coal where it is, and oil where it is. Oil would actually be cheaper had it not been for the geo-political tensions.”

Doomberg also shared his insights on uranium, and other energy commodities like natural gas and coal. On uranium specifically, he said he was getting cautious because “nothing goes up exponentially”.

The green chicken also mentioned that he is currently long physical gold, and that he goes into 2024 with a bullish perspective on the yellow metal.

“I think gold is setting up for an interesting 2024”, he told me.

When it comes down to copper, Doomberg said that “if the EV narrative was real, copper wouldn’t be trading where it is today”, claiming that although copper has a chance its next couple of months won’t be easy.

With his view on the electric vehicles space, he also said that metals & materials like graphite, nickel, cobalt, and lithium will have a hard time coming out of the mud.

Even still, Doomberg doesn’t believe there is a large chance for a recession in 2024, and definitely not one that’s on time to influence the US elections.
