Eaton’s Cooper Power series UltraSIL fire protection (UFP) arrester system provides superior surge protection while drastically reducing the risk of fire by controlling the energy released during an end-of-life event. The UFP arrester system is a distribution class fire prevention system designed for installation in all common overhead and riser-pole applications up to 27 kV.

The UFP arrester system has been granted California Dept. of Forestry and Fire Protection (CAL FIRE) temporary exemption to minimum clearance provisions of California Public Resources Code Section 4292.
