The Churchill Tank Project was fortunate to be able to run the first of its restored World War 2 Churchill Tanks, a Mark IV, alongside the latest British Army tank, the Challenger 2. This represents the comparison of tanks several generations apart in armour, transmission and gun technology - a grandchild next to a grandparent in effect.

The Churchill Tank Project Aim is to bring three unique Churchill Tanks back to life, to enable them to be used in films, documentaries and advertising, as well as for corporate team visits and exhibitions. In doing this we hope to widen knowledge and appreciation of best British tanks of World War 2, and to pay tribute to those who fought in them. These tanks played an important part in our history and those under restoration are the only ones of their kind in running condition anywhere in the world.

Anyone interested in hiring the tanks or making use of the HD video footage of them and their restoration, or the Project archive of printed material, should contact us by email at [email protected].
