Before the 1983 Daytona 500, Cale Yarborough flipped his car in qualifying, even though he was on pace to set a blistering lap time. Waddell Wilson was his crew chief at the time and was faced with a decision to make: fix the car or find a new one.

The new one they found was a show car in Hardee's parking lot. They built the Pontiac Lemans and had it ready to go before the duels, where Cale raced his way in to the Great American race, in one of the wildest journeys during Speedweeks in NASCAR history.
