In this video I decided to make a more broad video of Toyota Trucks 4WD system. This is still part of the 4runner series but since the 4runner shares a similar 4WD system found in other Toyota and Lexus trucks like the Tundra, Tacoma, Sequoia, FJ cruiser, Land Cruiser, Lexus GX and LX models.

I will cover the 2 basic designs which are full time AWD system and Part Time 4WD system. Locking differentials and Low range.

These systems are old and that's partly why they are reliable. Some updates happened over the years but the basic operating theory remains the same.
