This is a step by step video on how to change the oil on a 2013 Honda Civic EX sedan. I use a genuine Honda oil filter and Honda recommended Mobil1 full synthetic 0W-20 oil. See below for a list of tools/materials required. During the video I didn't mention this, but you need 4 quarts of oil and make sure that you check for leaks and check that you put enough oil in by pulling your dipstick.

Tools required:
- 17MM wrench
- Phillips screwdriver
- Oil Drain Pan
- Funnel
- 2 ton Jack (1.5ton should do)
- Jack Stands
- breaker bar (may be needed)
- News paper/cardboard
- Plumbers wrench (or oil filter tool) be gentle with the plumbers wrench or you run the risk of damaging your filter)

Materials needed:
- 4 Qts of Mobil1 0W-20 full synthetic Oil (6qts $27 on Amazon)
- Honda 15400-PLM-A01 Oil Filter (5 pack $34 on Amazon)
- Honda 94109-14000 Oil Drain Plug Gasket (50 pack $9 on Amazon)
