The government is planning the biggest welfare reform in a generation.

Work and pensions secretary Mel Stride is proposing sickness benefits cease for "many, many people" with depression and anxiety.

Instead they'll be offered "meaningful support" such as talking therapies and social care packages.

Stride says: 'the system should not paying people to deal with the ordinary difficulties of life.'

He also wants to give vouchers instead of money for some people on disability benefits.

These plans would likely stop payments for a varity of mental health and other problems.
