I'm making my Jeep Gladiator into a dedicated overlanding and adventure rig. For years it was my daily driver, but now that I live in Colorado, I really only use it for my off-road and adventure trips. I'm going to do more overlanding trips, spending a few weeks or more on the road. I need a camping setup that takes less time than my current system, which is a backpacking tent and tarp shelter. A canopy camper, or topper camper, seems to be the best option for my needs. The topper gives me full bed access and better secures my gear than a tonneau cover. The popup tent gives me the versatility of a rooftop tent, and combined, I can use the bed space for a temporary cooking and working shelter in bad weather. In this video I look at eight canopy camper options and I share my opinion on each.
