⚠️Parts of Audio cut for private information⚠️

On February 25, 2024 at 08:47 Rescue 13 along with Company 3 (Goshen Vol Fire Department) Company/Rescue 4 (Kerrs Creek Vol Fire EMS) Company 5 (Rockbridge County Fire Rescue) Rockbridge County Sheriffs Office, Virginia State Police were dispatched to Interstate 64 at MM 40.6 for a single vehicle accident on its side with entrapment. Squad 13 was the first Rescue 13 unit to respond with Ambulance 132 & 133 responding at a later time. Medic 46, Medic 47, Wagon 4, Attack 34, Engine 32, Utility 5 & Deputy Chief 5 also responded. While responding Deputies & State Police arrived and advised that one patient was still trapped. Light extraction was done to remove the patient from the vehicle. After evaluating patient EMS crews requested air medical services. Lifeguard 10 & 12 launched to designated Landing Zones in Rockbridge County. Both ambulance from Kerrs Creek Vol Fire - EMS were utilized with both Goshen ambulances being placed in service. Squad 13 was released shortly after.

Ambulance 132 - 2000 Ford F-550 from Chiefs Fire in North Carolina with an old Wintergreen Rescue box. Equipped with ALS and Extrication equipment.

Ambulance 133 - 2017 Ford F-550 Horton 603 Model. Equipped with ALS Equipment and light Extracation equipment.

Squad 13 - 1994 Rescue Master brought from Chiefs Fire in North Carolina.

The Goshen First Aid Crew is a 100% volunteer EMS agency located in Goshen, VA. The only 100% volunteer EMS transport agency left in Rockbridge County, VA. Providing EMS & Technical Rescue Services to the community of Goshen and surrounding areas. We have two ALS ambulances and one Rescue Truck. We will be adding an EMS/Command Car in the near future.
