Earlier today, Volkswagen confirmed that it has met its promised EPA range goals for its launch market Volkswagen ID4 Pro and Volkswagen ID4 First -- right on the heels of the Ford Mustang Mach E range confirmation from the EPA earlier this week.

And that means that there are now two new electric crossovers in the $35,000 to $50,000 market.

So today we thought it would be fun to try out a new format, doing a quick shoot out between the Chevrolet Bolt EV, Ford Mustang Mach E, Tesla Model Y, Volkswagen ID4, Kia e-Niro and Hyundai Kona EV.

Rather than look at range topping models, we're looking at entry-level specs for each, seeing how they compare in terms of range per charge, maximum charge rate, total cargo carrying capabilities, and price!
