I've not been able to get a test drive yet of the New IONIQ Electric 38kWh so here's a quick update on the fun I've been having with our new Riese and Muller Packster 60 cargo family e-bike instead! I replaced the stock rain cover with a bespoke BlaqPaks rain copy from Portland Oregon USA. That's made a world of difference to the cabin space in the front box on the e-bike.

It's not the same kind of fun as driving my old IONIQ Electric back in the UK. But I'm having quite a lot of fun with the family electric bicycle. With my children we've been commuting, riding around, sightseeing and even doing night trips to see how families in Denmark decorate and light their houses at this time of year, ready for Christmas.

The Bosch bike battery is only 500Wh (0.5kWh) and the motor is only 250W on the R&M Packster 60. A far cry from the 28kWh and 80kW I've been used to in the IONIQ Electric. The motor is a bit noisier in action than a well insulated EV. Stll it's possible to have quite a lot of fun, and I'm enjoying my new way of getting around! (We spotted quite a few Teslas nearby too!!!)
