The new GV70 SUV (and G70 saloon) have already made their North American debuts, but now we’re getting our first look in the UK. Can it live up the likes of the BMW X3 and Audi Q5?

At a glance, they certainly look the part. A significant amount of the company’s appeal is that, from a distance, the cars look far more expensive than they actually are. And that’s rather refreshing, as the waves of premium cars to come from German look great but can be a little dull. However, the Germans major on refinement, an area that Genesis and its parent company Hyundai are make strides with but admittedly aren’t quite on a par with their rivals. Today we’re looking at the GV70 SUV and G70 saloons to see whether the company’s more affordable models can shake things up a bit.
