Willie Brown whose name full was William Ferdie Brown, was an accomplished figure in American football, excelling as a player, coach, and administrator. He showcased his talent as a cornerback for both the Denver Broncos and the Oakland Raiders in the American Football League (AFL) before transitioning to the National Football League (NFL). Post his playing days, Brown continued his involvement with the Raiders, contributing as an assistant coach. In 1991, he took on the role of head football coach at California State University, Long Beach, during the program's final season. Brown's exceptional contributions to the sport earned him induction into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 1984. Until his passing, he remained an integral part of the Raiders' administrative team.
