A fire of unknown cause broke out in a house with one male inside. The fire destroyed approx 80% of the home. Firefighters arrived to find the house well involved in flames. They were able to get the resident out, but he received 2nd-degree burns and smoke inhalation. He was rushed to Scripps Burn Center. The fire was put out quickly. The American Red Cross has been called to assist the male once he is out of the hospital. The CVFD Fire Investigators will be looking for the cause of the fire.
