Black Canyon of the Gunnison National Park VASTLY exceeded our expectations. With a name that long and being overshadowed by Colorado's other national parks, we didn't have major expectations for it. All of the views were stunning, though, and easily accessible from South Rim Drive.

We also enjoyed seeing the Cimarron Canyon Rail Exhibit just outside of the park. There are some trails in that area as well, but we didn't have time to explore them. It's crazy to imagine a railroad running through such a steep and treacherous canyon.
