Expected to be operational by late 2024, the United Downs plant harnesses the natural heat trapped within deep granite rocks through two wells drilled and tested in 2019 and 2020. This innovative approach holds immense promise, with the potential to provide clean and reliable energy for approximately 70,000 homes in Cornwall by 2028.
