In the past few years I've spoken to dozens of people who think that their life sucks and that everyone else is having so much more fun than them. The reason these people often feel this way is because of social media: they log in to their accounts, see what everyone else is up to, then conclude their life is boring.

In this video, I explain why social media is not an accurate barometer of our perceptions. I also explain why some people who document a lot of their activities on social media are actually extremely unhappy.
