I've had lower back pain for about 25 years, and it was only in the last 10 years that I finally figured out how to manage not just the amount of pain, but the duration of the pain. In this video I talk about pain killers and anti-inflammatory drugs like Tylenol (acetomenophen), Advil (Ibuprofen) and Alieve (Naproxen Sodium). Then I talk about the best advice a doctor ever gave me which was to stand and walk rather than lay down. Similarly, doing stretching and strength building exercises have really helped. Finally, I'll talk about a new device that I saw an ad for on Facebook called a Lumbar Decompression Belt - it looks silly, but it seems to work.

These things have really helped with my lower back pain and sciatica, but I'm not a doctor or physical therapist, so what works for me may not work for you, and you should consult a doctor before trying any of this.

Here are the YouTube videos that I like to use for stretching and strength building:

HASfit "25 Min Lower Back Exercises for Lower Back Pain Relief"
   • 25 Min Lower Back Exercises for Lower...

ACTIV CHIROPRACTIC "One Minute Sciatica Exercise"
   • One Minute Sciatica Exercise to Cure ...

ACTIV CHIROPRACTIC "3 Top Spinal Decompression Techniques"

There are dozens of companies/people advertising the Lumbar Decompression Belt on Facebook and Instagram, but the one that I bought for $89 was Klop Orthopedics: https://kloporthopedics.com Don't let the name fool you - it's just someone in China selling these. It took 5 weeks to receive mine, but then Coronavirus may have played a part in that slow delivery.
