One of the most magnificent and beautiful names of Allāh (subḥānahu wa ta'āla) is Ar-Rahman (The Most Merciful) and it is through this Mercy that the righteous will inherit Jannah (paradise), yet at the same time Allāh (subḥānahu wa ta'āla) is a Just Lord and therefore we also find verses of punishment for those who do wrong.

However, Allāh (subḥānahu wa ta'āla) being the most Merciful Speaks more about the descriptions and details of Jannah in the Qur'an than the descriptions of Hell. The descriptions of the punishments for the wrongdoers are few compared to the descriptions of the rewards for the righteous.
