They could feel every little movement; they could feel nothing at all. It was nothing like having a real hand. "They say I'm fine, but I feel synthetic- nothing human left in me."

They sighed, the buzzing in their mind a loud roar as fans kicked in to cool down systems that should never have become a part of their body. "I'm nothing more than just a machine full of moving parts... Do you know what's in my chest? I don't. It's not a heart..."

The rain continued to fall all around, loud and present but... not loud enough to deafen the chaos in their mind. "Maybe I'm still breathing but... I'm synthetic... there's nothing human left in me."
