In this first episode I travel again from my native island of Aruba to Amsterdam, Holland. It was my first flight in a year (prior trip to Japan) and in large part due to the current situation as other trips of mine planned for 2020 had to be cancelled. It was nice to travel again although at the same time it felt sad too. It made me think of so many who cannot travel right now and how fortunate I was.

As far as the flight, it was the first time I've flown with KLM again after many years. The service was ok but by no means spectacular. The main dinner, was actually very dissapointing and I don't think there should any blame due to the current situation. The mid-flight snacks were ok but again the breakfast was very poor for such a world known airline. In other words good thing I brought and extra sandwhich! As for the crew members, some were very kind and helpful while others were not. There seemed to be a silent panic because the mask situation etc. However I must say that I felt mostly safe througout the flight and fellow passengers were for the most part complaint (not 100% though). In what may be one of my last few flights on an Airbus 330 I must say that the flight was a really enjoyable one and I am already looking forward to my journey back home.
