If you thought we were done with Metal Gear PSP spin-offs, boy would you be wrong. The team at Kojima Productions had been wanting to release some mainline handheld installments that they referred to as “Metal Gear Solid Chapters”, and Kojima had an idea for a new mainline game where you could recruit soldiers using a wifi connection, so while he and the main team were working on the then upcoming Metal Gear Solid 4, the Metal Gear Acid 2 team was put onto developing this idea into a reality. And in December of 2006, Metal Gear Solid: Portable Ops was released to the world.
