The pilot shortage in the united states and around the world is real. Commercial airlines are desperate for new pilots since older pilots are going into retirement. But the US military is also short of pilots; about 2,000 pilots to be more exact.

The civil air patrol is an auxiliary of the air force. They have several mission and one is to educate youngsters and bring them into the aviation community. It’s a legitimate path for young man or woman to join the United States Air Force.
