This morning in the YSL racketeering (RICO) conspiracy trial, Young Thug's lawyer Brian Steel explained a new motion he filed that takes issue with the jury being instructed about retired Atlanta Police Department Investigator Lakea Gaither being an expert witness.

Steel said Gaither's testimony is cumulative to Detective Mark Belkanp's testimony about gangs and the APD's gang unit investigations.

Fulton County Superior Court Judge Ural Glanville wasn't having it. He let Steel argue (you can watch here    • 'I Love This Court': Young Thug's Law...  ) then heard from Chief Deputy District Attorney Adriane Love.
