Quality over quantity time with you children. Obviously we are shooting for both at once. As a long distance Dad at one point in my life, I had to really get good at the quality part. I did, I nailed it every time because during that time I was also rediscovering myself and learning to be a man. I nailed that becoming a father to my daughter. It was not always easy, and many days it was a lonely road travelled...but let me tell you about the best part. It made me more confident, more resilient, and not afraid to take on the world so that my daughter could have the life I had growing up. Now let's fast forward.

My wife and I took the kids to a trampoline park. We set the goal to create memorable experiences for them. We endeavoured to do this over the weekend. It is so wonderful to watch both girls play with each other and have that kinship they desired to have in another sibling. Top it off, my wife and I engaged in both of their play. That is it right there. That is what we must do as parents, be involved. Every moment we can.

I looked around and saw many parents distracted with their phones. Not many with smiles on their faces. Why is that? Are they afraid to live happily and distracted from their current "woahs" with other people's things? You decide.

Your children will live your legacy. They will also perpetuate it as long as you have instilled it within them. It is up to you to decide which way that shall go?
