This video discusses the new Corporate Transparency Act Exemptions.

The new Corporate Transparency Act has 23 exemptions to its “reporting companies” requirement. If the reporting company meets one of these exemptions under The Corporate Transparency Act Regulations, they do not need to report their beneficial ownership information to the Financial Crimes and Enforcement Network (FinCEN).

The most notable exemption is the “large operating company” exemption. Other exemptions include the inactive entity exemption, subsidiaries of exempt companies, depository institutions the tax exempt entity exemption, and the pooled investment vehicle exemption.

On top of this, there are other exemptions that involve the Securities Exchange Act of 1934, and the Commodity Exchange Act.

This video walks you through the 23 exemptions, and what “reporting companies” must do to qualify for each of them.
