Powered by the same 296bhp and 400Nm 2.0-litre turbocharged engine as the Volkswagen Golf GTI Clubsport, this Cupra Leon is fast. 0-62mph takes a Type R rivalling just 5.7 seconds. We got an early drive in this new hot hatchback.

The interior is just as bold as the exterior with plenty of copper details, a large 10-inch infotainment screen and a pair of sports seats. Its seats five with a 380 litre boot – larger than a Golf GTI.
