*Cyclops and Jean drift apart, troubled by their separate paths. Jean learns of Cyclops' telepathic bond with Madelyne, stirring feelings for Wolverine. Meanwhile, post-UN admission, Magneto, Rogue, and Gambit visit Genosha. Magneto accepts leadership, insisting Rogue join. She declines, revealing past ties. Cable alerts of an attack, then vanishes. Madelyne discovers Cable's identity as adult Nathan. A Wild Sentinel strikes Genosha, signaling a larger threat.

Synopsis:
Continuing from the aftermath of X-Men: The Animated Series (1992–1997), the X-Men confront perilous new obstacles in the absence of their leader, Professor Charles Xavier.
