Jo is the mother of a disabled child who lost her job at the start of the pandemic. Since then she's come to rely on Universal Credit for just about everything. Now, with the extra £20 per week she had been receiving taken away, and with the prices of essentials rising due to inflation, she is absolutely furious to see MPs arguing that £80k per year is not enough to live on while they take £80 per month out of her pocket.

Jo has asked us to share the Covid Realities project (covidrealities.org), a brilliant organisation who have supported her. The project has been undertaking research into and creating a live archive of the experiences of people on low incomes affected by the pandemic.
