The keyfob for my 2018 GMC Terrain needed to be replaced and it turns out to be an easy process if you have two working remotes. This process works for lock, unlock, proximity and remote start. You should also have the emergency key cut by a locksmith if you are adding a new key, not just replacing an old key.
