The main theme of the Battlefield franchise is timeless and iconic. Audible in almost every game in the line, it is truly a tune very familiar to even individuals who do not play the game.

As the first soundtrack of the Battlefield series, 1942's soundtrack introduced the Battlefield Theme, as well as making use of large and majestic fanfares similar to those used in future installments.

As Battlefield 2042 approaches, I for one wanted to create a rendition in the epic style I manifest. Complete with commanding brass and earth shattering drums.

A dark ominous hum signals the entrance of the piece. This is then followed by Taiko drums and hard hitting strings. They start to intensify as a German officer rouses his troops at the beginning of the Kaiserschlacht. The drums, strings and brass intensify even more with much velocity played in each instrument. A break comes, then synths begin the countdown to the chorus.

The iconic theme roars in all it's glory along with large drums, brass, and strings. As well as electric guitars to add to it's already intense nature. Trumpets begin joining forces and emphasizing the motif even more. Ending with the iconic drum motif of the theme, But this is not over.

After pads and synths give way to rest the composition, an Erhu (A Chinese oriental instrument) begins playing one of the other iconic themes from Battlefield's soundtrack. Followed by the full orchestra and an inspiring choir.

As a lone trumpet signals the end of the section, it is followed by fast strings and large drums. What can be heard is radio chatter ripped straight from one of the most legendary missions in the franchise, "Going Hunting" from Battlefield 3. As the sounds of Jets being launched from an aircraft carrier roar, the orchestra prepare for the finale. Synths begin and one last iconic motif and then...boom.

An armada of full fortissimo instruments come together to create an absolutely earth trembling finale. This is also accompanied by one hell of an electric guitar. The whole orchestra then plays to the beat of the theme as a build up to the final motif. It concludes with the most powerful drums played to the beat of...."Du-Dun Dun, Du-Dun Dun"
