The choice of business entity is a huge and often times frightening decision that beginning entrepreneurs have to make when they are first starting. And It’s understandably why. The choice you make will determine how your business is managed.

BUT… at the same time… that’s really it. The business entity you choose will really only determine how you “manage” your business. It doesn’t change what you can do and not do. Ok… let me be honest. There are a few minor things that differ depending on the entity that you choose, but for a vast majority of individuals first starting their business, those minor things don’t matter in the beginning.

In my entrepreneurial journey, I’ve started many businesses. I’ve been a C-Corp. I’ve been a S-corp. I’ve been a partner in a Partnership, I’ve been an LLC (currently still unfortunately) and I’ve been a Sole-Proprietor. And have to say that, based on my experience, the Sole-Proprietor is the best choice when it comes to starting a business.

But the Sole-Proprietor doesn’t get talked about much. Because of it’s vey nature… there is no way for someone to sell you one. Meaning that no one can charge you money to set up a Sole-Proprietor so there is no reason to mention it. So, it has become the underdog of the business world. But to me, the Sole Proprietor is the superhero of the business world.

Therefore, in this video, I’ll be highlighting some of the main benefits of starting your business as a Sole Proprietor while sharing with you some pro tips of how make sure that your business does well.
