The Iron Claw received no Academy Award nominations. It earned less than a twentieth of Barbie's total box office. But The Iron Claw was my favorite movie of 2023. The film could've been nothing more than an effective, bleak tragedy, but Sean Durkin finds home hope amidst the sorrow.
