Volkswagen's EA888 engine family is made up of 1.8L turbo I4 engines as well as 2.0L turbo I4 engines. They are generally direct injection and found in vehicles such as the Jetta, Golf, GTI, and Audi A4. These engines have unique features such as a header-integrated exhaust manifold, clever VVT and VVL systems, high mounted balance shafts, intake manifold air flaps, and 6-hole direct injection with a 50 degree spray angle.
