Dr. Muhammad Muhsin Khan was a reputed medical doctor who translated the Quran and Sahih Al-Bukhari in to English. Although he did not have any formal training in Islamic studies he contributed immensely to Muslim scholarship through his efforts.
Sh. Yasir Qadhi narrates Dr. Muhsin's story of how a medical doctor and chest surgeon ended up translating the Quran and Hadith. It is a lesson for all muslims that no matter what background or career you are in, each and every Muslim has the potential to work for the cause of the Deen.
Dr. Muhsin Khan passed away on the 14th of July 2021. He was buried in the Baqi graveyard next to the Prophet's Mosque. May Allah forgive his shortcomings and have mercy on his soul. Ameen.
