There is no “gas mode” in the Wrangler 4XE. This has been a very common misunderstanding about the Wrangler 4XE from the very beginning. I know a lot of reviewers, auto bloggers, salesmen and journalists have referred to eSave as a gas mode but it’s simply not the case. In this video, I demonstrate how to see this for yourself.

At the 1:16 mark I say "the P2 motor in the generator". What I meant to say was "the P2 motor in the transmission." My mouth got out ahead of my brain.
