NFIN Stock and Triterras Fintech announced on July 29, 2020 their intentions to merge. In this video I would be discussing about the merger, and analyze Triterras Fintech’s business and NFIN stock.

There has been several private companies looking to go public through a reverse takeover of a special purpose acquisition company (SPAC), and Triterras Fintech is no exception. On July 29, 2020, it was announced that Netfin Acquisition Corp and Triterras Fintech intends to merge and form Triterras, resulting Triterras becoming a publicly traded company on the NASDAQ with a new ticker symbol. In this video, I’ll be discussing about Triterras. I will first provide a brief introduction about the company, what they do, and how they earn income, then I will analyze the company qualitatively, followed by a quantitative analysis, looking at the company’s financials and valuation. I will then conclude on whether I think the shares of the company is a buy at its current price and whether I own any shares in this business myself.

Triterras Fintech is a leading fintech company focused on trade and trade finance. It launched and operates Kratos—one of the world’s largest commodity trading and trade finance digital marketplaces that connects and enables commodity traders to trade and source capital from lenders directly online.

Since the launch of the Kratos platform in June 2019, it has facilitated over $6.6B of transaction volume, more than 3500 transactions, with 17B of cumulative funds onboarded. The company estimates 123M in FY21 sales, 169% compound annual growth rate between fiscal 19 and fiscal 21, Ebitda margin of 84M in Fy21, and estimated high EBITDA margin of 69% in FY21.

Triterras has first mover advantage, utilizing disruptive proprietary technology to solve critical industry problems. The fintech platform delivers previously unavailable access to lenders and borrowers, cost reduction, risk abatement and speed.
