America Is Testing Its New Flying Aircraft Carrier.

The concept of modern warfare changes almost every 10 years. Watching the development of military technology is extremely interesting and rewarding.At the same time, what looks promising today may turn out to be useless junk tomorrow.
However, the Americans were not the first to use airships as aircraft carriers. In the beginning of the 20th century, this idea was implemented by the German military. It was a necessary measure.
In the sky, huge machines filled with explosive hydrogen were as vulnerable as hippos in a swamp. The British learned how to send airships to hell very quickly. The German had to think about how to defend themselves.
Compact aircraft, hanging from the airship with a trapezoid, were supposed to drive away enemy fighters from the "sacred cow". Today it looks extremely primitive and funny.
But there is also a reverse trend, when crazy ideas of engineers suddenly become relevant after several decades, and it becomes clear that the human sacrifice was not in vain.
