The Aenne Burda Awards ceremony is an annual highlight at the DLD Munich conference.

In 2024, Sandrine Dixson-Declève, Co-President of the Club of Rome, received the prestigious award for her work on sustainability and climate change throughout her career. “Sandrine has been instrumental in pushing for systematic change emphasizing the need for a socio-economic transformation that centers on human well-being and ecological sustainability”, ecologist Auguste von Bayern notes in her eulogy.

In her acceptance speech, Sandrine Dixson-Declève emphasizes the importance of community and coming together to address these issues. She discusses her work with the Club of Rome and her book “Earth for All” which outlines scenarios to develop the world within planetary boundaries.
