Visited Disney World Hollywood Studios' New Star Wars Galaxy's Edge on Thanksgiving weekend. The park was really crowded and even though we had early admission, the line to ride the Millennium Falcon took about 80 minutes. It moved right along surprisingly fast and plenty to see along the way.

This video was shot using Virtual Reality cameras on 180 degree and in 3D. To experience it like you are there it must be viewed on a head mounted display, like the Oculus Go or Oculus Quest.

The ride holds 6 guests, two pilots, two gunners, and two engineers in the back. I rode twice for two points of view, first as an Engineer and later that afternoon, as the starboard side pilot. A little secret I learned is you can enter the ride as a single standby and there was no long line. I went right in and picked up my Pilot's pass and joined a family of 5.

The mechanics of this ride is similar to other rides in that you get the feel of being shaken about so the video gets a little bouncy. The pilot's controls do tilt and angle you right and left so there is a sense of being in control which adds to the realism of the flight.
