The Transmission Bushing on the Ferrari F430 (and 360) is sometimes pretty difficult to change out. It unfortunately is prone to collapsing after many years. The rubber starts to crack and fall apart. This makes it so the transmission will move around more when shifting and can produce a reduced ride quality in the car. To replace it, you can do it while still in the car but it's certainly easier when the transmission is removed. You will need the hill engineering transmission busing removal tool as shown in this video. We recommend cutting a relief cut in the bushing first so you can remove it easier. For the new bushing installation, lubricate the bushing and transmission, along with the threads on the installation tool. Be sure to align the bushing properly or you can have it get stuck. Let the threads and nut on the installation tool cool down periodically so you don't overheat it and break the bolt.
