Went for a short flight to KMRN Morganton NC dodging clouds the whole way there and back. On the way back had an alternator issue with #1. I Have 2 alternators so I turned off 1 and ran fine on the 2nd back to the airport. I was so close tot the field that if both went out I would have had enough battery power for the electronics. I great example of why planes have back ups of almost everything.

I notice the annunciator lights come on at 19:40.
