The prime minister has used his party conference speech to set out his vision of a high wages and low tax economy.
He didn't give too much detail of how he'd do that - other than saying he would unleash the spirit of the British people.
What he did say was reshaping the British economy will take time and sometimes it will be difficult.
There was implied criticism of his immediate predecessors, David Cameron and Theresa May, when he said he had the guts to make those changes.
Instead, he likened himself to another, Margaret Thatcher, in his handling of the public finances.
