VIDEO DESCRIPTION:
Johnny is living his dream. Coming from Boston, San Diego had a welcome sign with beautiful weather and a place to park his floating tiny home. This 1981 CHB Ed Monk Trawler is powered by a Ford Lehman 120 engine which is an old tractor engine! There's a captain's stateroom, a guest room, and a hideaway bed, which means many friends can accompany him on long excursions overseas. The kitchen provides more than enough cabinet storage and holds a deep sink alongside a Dometic stove/oven unit. There are two bathrooms (called "heads" in nautical terms), one is in full use, and the other is used as a uniform locker for this Navy man. One of the most outstanding aspects of this trawler is the ability to open several hatches, creating a fresh breeze throughout the boat cabin. You can imagine the top deck being a popular hangout spot with a swim deck, sunbathing area with lounge chairs with nothing but the open sky above you.
