Emirates Palace is a hotel that opened in 2005 at a cost of $3 billion. Officially it is a 5-star hotel, but due to its luxury it is considered a 7-star hotel. The site covers 1 million m², and the building's east and west wings are more than 1 km long. Furthermore, there are over 100 domes, including the central dome that is over 70 meters high, and over 1,000 chandeliers. It also serves as a state guesthouse, with a VIP gate that can only be used by state guests and members of the royal family.
