No one looks forward to the nursing home, but few prepare themselves to avoid it for good.

Which doesn't make much sense to me, especially considering staying in one of those prisons costs roughly $100,000.00 per year.

Perhaps they don't believe they have the skills to senior-proof their home.

Perhaps the thought alone is too much to bear.

Perhaps they just don't know where to begin.

One thing is for certain:

We will all get older, and older, and older.

If you prepare yourself now, while you're able-bodied, you can completely avoid the dreaded nursing "home," and the nightmares that come with it.

Bland cuisine, careless staff, steep fees, and so on.
