President Rodrigo Roa Duterte meets thousands of Filipinos living and working in Russia during a community gathering as he caps off his Official Visit to the Russian Federation on October 5, 2019.

According to the Embassy of the Philippines in Russia, there are about 10,000 Overseas Filipino Workers (OFW) currently residing across the said country. Majority of them are employed in childcare and household services, and some are in the skilled industry such as carpenters, engineers, among others.
