Once Again We Take A Look At This Luxurious Cadillac Escala 2022 Sedan.

Cadillac Escala 2022 isn’t to be confused with the infamous generation of Escalades, which have been in production since 1998. This is a new generation of Cadillac which is hugely exciting. Let us tell you why.

If you know your Spanish, the word ‘escala' means 'scale' and the Escala does not disappoint in that department. It gets that name due to it being larger in scale than the Cadillac CT6. That’s the first important detail about the Escala, it’s a long car.

If there’s any car brand out there that has been known for manufacturing huge and luxurious cars, it is most definitely Cadillac and the Escala doesn’t disappoint. The President of the United States of America gets driven around in a Cadillac aptly nicknamed The Beast, and the Escala will make you feel equally important.

The Escala is yet to be in full production and what has been seen of the car has only been in concept. Just from the design of the concept, the Escala is going to have a much lower center of gravity with a much broader width but is still built upon the Cadillac CT6 platform. It simply oozes class. The car has a short back lid that makes a proper four door Cadillac. The cabin and interior look extremely spacious, and the design is sleek.

The Escala is rumored to be fitted with Cadillac’s rear-wheel drive framework that provides great efficiency for a twin turbo, 4.2-liter V-8 engine. The word going around says that Cadillac is currently developing a brand-new powertrain that they regard as an ‘enhancement for all Cadillac models in the near future’.

It’s equipped with an Active Fuel Management System that can help increase the level of engine efficiency even on a four-cylinder engine. If the Escala does use the rumored 4.2-liter twin turbocharged V-8 engine, then that is the first car in a long line of Cadillacs that are fitted with such a powerful engine.

Luxury is of course the theme for the Escala’s interiors. A combination of cashmere, leather and custom embossed branding typifies the level of luxury you can expect. Some classic styling elements have been integrated into the Escala but it still presents itself as an extremely modern vehicle.

The car’s fascia is embedded with OLED lighting which is consistent with Cadillac’s ‘vertical lighting design. The Cadillac logos are all hand-stitched and embossed. It is equipped with a control center that enables haptic and voice control. Andrew Smith, the executive director of Cadillac Global Design made it clear to the designers that he wanted the Escala to be ‘a car you desperately want to drive, but also one that you want to be driven in’.

Up until now, everything about the Escala is being described on the concept car that we first saw back in 2016. So far, the details on production and actual release as well as many accurate features of the cars are yet to be known.

Nevertheless, the car is stunning and if we take Andrew Smith’s word for it, this is going to be one menacingly awesome car when it does come out. Hopefully, sooner than later. Going from what we know so far, this is a Cadillac that you should be very excited about.
